November news
It has all been about agent training events this month. So many agents seen at World Travel Market in London, Tourism Australia Marketplace, Travel Counsellors 2024 conference ANZCRO Hull, Selling Luxury travel events x 2, Travel Bulletin event, and directly organised trainings. Now I have to do follow up for all of these agents to make sure they see how the products we offer suit their customers and how to get support as we come into the main sales period.
Great stats from Tourism Australia at the Marketplace event. They are claiming their arrivals are split 39% first time and 61% repeat visitors and with 67% of the first-time visitors saying they will definitely return. UK arrivals into Australia are still 13% down on 2019 arrivals where NZ is only down 4% but working holiday makers are already above 2019 levels @ 40,253. Germany is 22% down on 2019 arrivals and France is 13% down.
Air New Zealand are very close to announcing flights from London (almost definitely Gatwick). It is great to have them operating from the UK again and having staff based in London.
